ABG Projects

A Community-First Arts Agency

ABG Projects is a community-first arts agency focused on connecting artists with opportunities by providing production, creative direction, and project management from ideation to delivery. Our services include public art ordinance fee management, producing large-scale installations, and collaborating with industry-leading artists.

Our portfolio features a wide range of unique public installations, including relief sculptures, numerous murals across the Bay Area and beyond, and curated interior collections. We have also developed several robust mural series in collaboration with cities like Livermore, San Leandro, and Oakland.

Studio ABG

Our In-House Design Practice

Studio ABG is "Elliot" Trent Thompson and "Xiao-Rui" Sorell Raino-Tsui, an art and design duo with backgrounds as visual artists and creative directors. Our combined expertise allows us to create works and experiences that tell stories in unexpected and distinctive ways. Collaboration has always been at the heart of our practice. As co-owners and directors of ABG Art Group, we bring years of experience in supporting the artistic visions of our community, which has shaped our own creative voices.

Our in-house portfolio includes dynamic productions like the eye-catching retail space buildout for 3319 Marche, the sculptural series Legendary Words, a 40-ft textured concrete accent wall, anamorphic interior paintings, a topographical stage and cyclorama photo wall, a 50-ft 3D relief mural, and a collection of monumental murals such as the Hayward Depot and the nine-story project at 4200 Geary.

Artistic. Business. Guild

A Creative Resource Hub

Artistic Business Guild is an artist resource hub designed to support artists by providing access to spaces, professional development, creative direction, and career opportunities.

This includes designing collaborative placemaking projects like the Rotten City Cultural District, professional development programs like the Cultural Strategist in Government for Public Art in Oakland, and dynamic resource spaces like “The Guild - 1308.” Additionally, we collaborate with cities and developers to highlight open calls through our newsletter, social channels, and opportunity page.
