STUDIO (Design Practice)

Studio ABG is the "Elliot" Trent Thompson and "Xiao-Rui" Sorell Raino-Tsui, an art and design duo with backgrounds as visual artists and creative directors. Our combined expertise allows us to create works and experiences that tell stories in unexpected and distinctive ways. While collaboration has always been at the heart of our practice. we bring years of experience in supporting the artistic visions of our community, which has shaped our own creative voices.

Concept Forward

A common motif in our collaborations is bringing work “Off the Wall”. We set ourselves apart by combining our creative curiosity with practical solutions. We share our methods in collaboration but the core of our practice is our desire to internaly develop innovative and original concepts.

At the core of ABG is our individual artistic practice. The work of Xiou Rui and Elliot forms the foundation of our creative direction, bringing distinct perspectives and visual languages into dialogue with one another. Through ABG, our personal practices expand across mediums and scales — from public installations to collectible, gallery-oriented works.
